THE family of a student murdered at a New Year’s Eve party in Brighton in 2019 have paid tribute to their “intellectual and creative” son.

Reading a statement on the steps of Hove Crown Court, Ian Henham said the family was “so angry at what these men did and grateful for the justice they will receive”.

His comments come as the student’s murderers were jailed at Hove Crown Court for a total of 86 years.

Billy was struck with a broken wooden stair spindle. His body, which had been dropped over balcony railings from a height of nearly 11ft, was discovered by police the following day.
