HAVING just moved house I use London Road Station, but the half hourly service from Seaford arrives in Brighton as West Coast services leave, meaning a half hour wait.
It would help if the Hastings and Eastbourne services served London Road as they did in the past. They serve all the other stations anyway.
This is a further deterioration of train services from Brighton, now only served by Southern and Thameslink.
Firstly the Milton Keynes service starts from Clapham Junction, whereas initially it ran from Brighton to Rugby serving Northampton.
The Ashford service has been cut back to Eastbourne, and the Southampton service
originally ran to Bournemouth.
Not stopping at London Road may be a revenue protection issue due to no barriers but Preston Park is the same and has a good service.
Also Southern deems it unnecessary to display departure sheets at stations or issue printed timetables, so I need to use my mobile constantly.
