A ROAD was partially blocked after a person was hit by a van this morning.
The incident happened around 11am in Gloucester Road, Brighton.
Sussex Police closed part of the road and put up police tape where Tidy Street meets Gloucester Road while they investigated.
One picture shows clothing strewn on the floor.
One witness told The Argus they heard someone shouting "stop" before the person was hit by the van.
Traffic is coping well in the area but people are being advised to avoid North Laine area still.
The incident happened around the same time a cyclist was hit by a hearse in Hove this morning.
Sussex Police confirmed a woman in her 80s is in hospital with serious injuries.
