TWO West Ham fans have been arrested after they allegedly stole seats from the Amex following Albion’s 3-1 win on Sunday.
A witness said he saw two men walking towards Falmer station with the distinctive, blue seats after the match.
The man, who did not wish to be named, said he was waiting for his two sons to leave the North Stand when he spotted the men.
He told the Argus: “I chased after one of them, spoke to two police officers and they were both stopped and arrested.”
It is believed the seats were taken from the South Stand.
A spokesman for Brighton and Hove Albion FC confirmed two men have been arrested for theft.
Sussex Police and West Ham United Football Club have been contacted for comment.
West Ham missed the chance to snatch a dramatic Europa League return after squandering a lead to lose 3-1 to Graham Potter’s men.
The Hammers were on course to leapfrog Manchester United into sixth position following Michail Antonio’s stunning 40th-minute opener.
But second-half strikes from Joel Veltman, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck turned the game in the Seagulls’ favour.
The victory secured a positive end to a memorable season for the Seagulls.
