A HUNDRED walkers have taken to the streets of Brighton to raise funds for adult services in the city.

Volunteers, members of staff and trustees from three local charities, were joined by representatives from ten legal firms for the event last week.

Along with walkers from Citizens Advice, Possibility People and BHT Sussex, they completed the fundraiser to raise money for independent advice services in the city.

The annual 10km sponsored walk, organised by the London Legal Support Trust, has already raised £5,000 and more is expected over the next week.

Organiser Bob Nightingale said: “It is so good to see so many people prepared to go out of their way to raise funds for independent legal advice centres in Brighton.

“The work of these centres is so important, particularly now at a time when so many families are facing the challenges of paying their rent and fuel bills, and putting food on their tables.

“If you can support the work of these three wonderful advice services, please do so. You never know when you might need their services.”
