COMEDY and cabaret are on offer at the Brighton Fringe festival.

With more than 700 shows and events, festivalgoers are spoilt for choice with cabaret, circus, dance, drama and drag shows.

Among the events being held today, Friday, May 27, are:

Sassy! 2.0

The Sassy squad are back with one of the freshest cabaret shows at the Brighton Fringe.

The mistress of celebrations Lucy Hopkins will guide the audience through a night of circus, burlesque, dance, drag and more.

Tickets for the event at Brighton Spiegeltent range from £8 to £10.

Eleanor Conway: Talk Dirty To Me

Following her first US tour, the award-winning stand-up Eleanor Conway is back with a high-energy show.

The set will explore topics of sex, addiction and dating and will take place at The Walrus in Ship Street, Brighton.

Antarctica: This Magical Place

The one-man show highlights Antarctica in all its glory with spectacular images and videos of scenery and wildlife with an emphasis on the environmental impact of climate change.

A visual theatre experience using the Edwardian explorer Captain Scott to tell the story of 120 years of exploration and discoveries, held at The Rotunda Theatre in Regency Square.

Komedia Comedy Club

The comedy show will feature three acts and an MC.

Throughout the festival, the Komedia Comedy Club has been hosting comedians including Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Jordan Brookes, Olga Koch, Barbara Nice, Jarred Christmas, Nina Conti, Sara Barron and more.

The venue has won the Chortle Award for Best Comedy Venue in the South on 17 occasions.

On The Edge Best of the Fest

Held at The Walrus in Ship Street, Brighton, the show aims to bring fresh faces from the UK circuit to audiences all year round.

In previous years, the show has featured the likes of Joe Wilkinson, Angela Barnes, Maisie Adam, Mark Simmons and Esther Manito.
