POLICE have increased patrols near two train stations amid ongoing antisocial behaviour.

Officers from Arun Police have stepped up their presence around Bersted and Barnham following public reports of antisocial behaviour near the railway stations.

Police said foot patrols have increased to combat the issue.

“Patrols continue across Arun to tackle issues in Bersted, Barnham and around the railway stations,” a police spokesman said.

“When you see us on patrol, please stop and say hello. This gives us a chance to listen to what issues our communities are facing and if we know about it, we can take action.

“You can also report via 101 or online.”

Last month, Arun Police also increased their patrols at Angmering train station and the surrounding area following reports of antisocial behaviour.

The patrols are a collaborative effort between Arun police and the British Transport Police.

Meanwhile, police conducted patrols in a residential area in Bognor following reports of suspicious activity in recent weeks.

Officers from Arun Police stepped up their presence in and around Longford Road after reports of a man cold calling at properties.
