THE Red Arrows are to return to the skies after their flight over Sussex as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations was cancelled.

The Royal Air Force aerobatic display team was due to perform on Sunday, including a show over Buckingham Palace.

The planes would have been visible above Sussex for a ten-minute period between 4.36pm and 4.46pm.

However, due to poor weather, the flyover was cancelled.

Pilot Graeme Muscat shared a photo of dense cloud from his cockpit over the South Coast before to the scheduled event.

“Unfortunately the weather has not been kind today. The whole team is gutted but safety must come first,” he said.

But the Red Arrows are due to return to Sussex soon.
