A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit across the head with a pair of bolt cutters.

Officers responded to a report of a potential stabbing, but it later transpired to be a serious assault, in Foundry Retail Park in Foundry Lane, Horsham around 7.05pm on June 7.

The victim, a 24-year-old man was found with a head injury and taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to speak to a group of three men, one of which had a grey bike, at the time of the attack.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information which could help officers with their enquiries is asked to report it to police online or call 101, quoting serial number 1174 of 07/06.
