A WANTED man was arrested following a significant police presence in a residential road.

Sussex Police officers attended an address in Lindum Road, Worthing shortly after 6pm yesterday evening to arrest a 22-year-old man.

The man, from Worthing, was arrested on suspicion of harassment and possession of a firearm.

Armed police and counter-terrorist specialist firearms officers were spotted at the scene yesterday evening, with a man spotted being led in handcuffs to a police vehicle.

Some of the officers were seen wearing helmets and protective vests.

A police spokesman said that the incident was not related to counter-terrorism and the man remains in custody.
