SKYGAZERS across Sussex caught a glimpse of yesterday’s strawberry supermoon in the skies above the county.
The supermoon, the final full moon of spring, saw the moon appear with an orange hue and slightly larger in the sky due to its closer proximity to earth.
People across Sussex snapped pictures of the event last night, with stunning images of the supermoon by the West Pier, in the skies above Newhaven and as it rose above the South Downs.
The event is known as a strawberry moon because it is the full moon at strawberry harvest time.
The next full moon on July 13, known as a buck moon, will also be a supermoon due to its close proximity to earth.
