FAST FOOD chain McDonald’s took over part of the beach with a steel band and games to mark the anniversary of its delivery service.

A steel band kept passers-by near the i360 in Brighton entertained with songs, as well as free games, with picnic blankets given out to sun worshippers to make the most of the warm weather.

The celebrations, to mark the fifth anniversary of McDonald’s McDelivery, also took place in London, Liverpool and Cardiff where people were able to soak up the sun in a bespoke chill-out zone.

The festivities also coincided with the launch of the restaurant’s Italian-inspired summer menu, which features a Tiramisu McFlurry, Mozzarella Dippers and an Italian Stack burger.

The Taste of Italy menu is available until July 26 and is available in-store, as well as through the McDonald’s App, Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
