POLICE remained in a town centre overnight after an incident which led to one arrest.
Seaside Road in Eastbourne was partially cordoned off and police remained at the scene from around midnight.
The incident happened near The Town House pub and Hollywood Nails and Spa shop.
Ambulance crews also attended.
Pictures show the police cordon and what appears to be a smashed bottle by one of the shops.
The cordon is still up this morning while police waited for scenes of crime officers (SOCO) to investigate. But it is now understood SOCO are not attending anymore.
The Argus understands Sussex Police have made an arrest.
It is unclear the exact nature of the incident.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
