Police at the scene of the crash near Battle
A ROAD has been closed after a crash involving two cars.
The incident happened around 1pm this afternoon on the A2100 Hastings Road between Telham Lane and Powdermill Lane near Battle.
An air ambulance was at the scene but was not needed.
The person was taken to hospital by road ambulance. The extent of injuries at the scene are unclear currently.
The incident comes the same week a 72-year-old man was killed by a car when it mounted the pavement in The Green, St Leonards.
Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex and Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
The road has now been reopened.
