A MAN was stabbed after a fight erupted outside a town centre nightclub.

The incident happened around 1.10am in the early hours of Saturday, June 18, outside Cameo in Langney Road, Eastbourne.

The man approached officers when they arrived stating that he had been stabbed.

The knife was also recovered from outside the nightclub.

The man’s injuries are not believed to be “life-changing or life-threatening”.

Sussex Police are appealing for anyone with information to get in contact.

A spokesman said: “Police responded to a report of a fight outside Cameo nightclub in Eastbourne, at around 1.10am on Saturday 18th June.

“Upon arrival, a male made himself known to officers, stating that he had been stabbed. The knife was recovered from the scene.

“The man was taken to Eastbourne Hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

“Anyone with any information or footage is urged to contact police online, or by calling 101, quoting serial 102 of 18/06.”

It happened the same night as an incident outside The Town House pub in Seaside Road, Eastbourne.

Last November, a man suffered a fractured eye socket outside Cameo.

While in February this year, a man had a noxious substance thrown in his face outside Blue Bar Cafe in Pevensey Road. A man is still wanted following the attack.
