A POPULAR TV show is coming to a Sussex seaside resort.

ITV’s hit show The Masked Singer is coming to Butlin’s resorts next year for a series of live shows.

Produced in association with Bandicoot, the celebrity singing competition will be taking place at the Bognor location as well as in Minehead and Skegness.

Performing on selected school holiday breaks, each show will be hosted by a celebrity presenter and will feature four favourites from past series, plus two brand-new characters.

Just like the TV show, the best bit will be saved until the end of the performance when all characters, including two well-known celebrity performers in every show, are unmasked.

Mike Godolphin, entertainment director at Butlin’s, said: “As the home of entertainment we’ve pulled out all the stops to bring our guests another year of incredible show-stopping performances.

“Our amazing cast will be performing brilliant new Butlin’s shows, and we can’t wait to have The Masked Singer performing live.

“We’re delighted that the world’s biggest entertainment show is coming to Butlin’s.

“I know our guests will love all the drama of the hit series and we’ll be hearing ‘Who’s that behind the mask!?’ throughout the resort.

“We’re also welcoming back incredible acts next year and will be opening our brand-new Skypark in Skegness. With some fantastic value breaks to be had, it’s never too early to book some full-on family fun.”

Bandicoot’s Derek McLean and Daniel Nettleton, executive producers of The Masked Singer said: “We’re delighted to take the nation’s favourite guessing game out of the studio and into Butlin’s, bringing our colourful character costumes, crazily compelling clues and musical mayhem to families from across the UK.

“With special celebrity guests performing live, The Masked Singer Live promises a joyously bonkers show at Butlin’s.”

Alongside The Masked Singer Live there will be two new Butlin’s shows - Festivals Rock and Jukebox Musicals.

Celebrating musical legends past and present, guests will “rock out” to the biggest hits in Festivals Rock.

Jukebox Musicals is a musical medley of songs and dances that feature West End productions.
