A WOMAN was hit on the head with a bottle during a street fight, witnesses have claimed.

An arrest has been made following the incident that left the woman needing treatment from paramedics.

The Argus understands the brawl started inside a pub before spilling out into the street.

A police cordon was erected near the Town House pub while an investigation took place.

Sussex Police confirmed an arrest had been made following the incident in the early hours of Saturday, June 18.

The person has now been released on conditional bail.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The victim was treated by paramedics and later discharged.

“The suspect remains on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

There was also a stabbing the same night outside Cameo nightclub in Langney Road.
