A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following a drugs raid which led to a road closure this afternoon.
Police received a report of suspicious activity at a property Longfords Road, Bognor, shortly after 12.30pm today, Thursday 23.
The road was closed while officers entered the building.
Pictures show a large multi-vehicle response on the road whilst teams attended the scene.
A quantity of drugs was found in the premises and a 21-year-old man from Bognor was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. He remains in custody.
Inspector Ross Wickings said: “We understand that this incident may have caused alarm in the community, but I would like to reassure the public that there is no wider risk of harm.
“Our officers responded swiftly to a report from a member of the public and a man is now in custody. An investigation is now underway to establish the full circumstances of the situation.
“Thank you to local residents and businesses for their understanding.”
