A NEW running event is coming to Brighton this weekend.
The Brighton Trail Weekend will incorporate a trail marathon, along with 10K and mini miles events in Stanmer Park.
Grounded Events, the team behind the Brighton Marathon, are staging the event on Sunday, June 26.
The marathon will begin at East Brighton Park at 8.30am and finish at Stanmer Park, along with kids and 10K events starting and finishing in Stanmer Park. Entries are still open for anyone wishing to take on the 10K.
Working with Brighton and Hove City Council and Brighton and Hove Buses, Grounded Events have funded three additional “Breeze Up to the Downs” buses to run on Sunday 26 from early morning until 6pm.
This will mean the 78 between the city centre and Stanmer Park and the 79 to Ditchling Beacon will each run twice as often, approximately every 30 minutes instead of hourly.
You can find details of the 78 and 79 bus routes, times and fares at www.buses.co.uk
Prices are £5 return for adults, with up to two children per adult travelling for free. Concessionary bus passes also travel for free.
All types of B&H Buses ‘Saver’ tickets are also accepted on the Breeze services. More information on the services, including details of pricing can be found on the council’s Breeze Buses page.
