AN ARREST has been made after police were called to reports of a man carrying a weapon in a residential area.
Police responded to the incident in Larkspur Drive, Eastbourne, at around 9.30am today.
Officers attended the scene and a section of the road was temporarily closed as a precaution.
An arrest has now been made in connection with the incident.
Police say the public can expect to see a heightened police presence in the area as officers carry out house-to-house enquiries.
