TWO MUSIC heavyweights from the county will play at Glastonbury this weekend, as the festival returns for its belated 50th anniversary celebrations.
Both legends of the game, Fatboy Slim and Paul McCartney will head to Worthy Farm, and are expected to put on stellar shows.
DJ Fatboy Slim, who lives in Hove, will play tonight for the Silver Hayes line up, which curates four stages of the best UK club sounds for the festival.
While Beatles icon Paul McCartney, who has a property in Peasmarsh, East Sussex, is to headline the Pyramid stage on Saturday night.
Liverpudlian McCartney announced a shock warm up show in nearby Frome in front of just 800 people. There were no digital tickets for the event, with gig-goers only able to nab one in-person from the town.
Glastonbury’s return has been highly anticipated among music lovers, with extensive coverage available for those not able to attend in person.
It will be covered across all four BBC television channels, from One to Four, at various times across the weekend, but the best way to watch is via the BBC Iplayer, on its special Glastonbury channel, which is up and running now.
