I, LIKE many other residents I suspect, are sorry to see the closure of the city centre Covid-19 vaccination centre after being open for ten months in this very handy position in Churchill Square, Brighton (The Argus, June 29).

As it is in the heart of the city's main shopping centre, residents and probably many from other areas outside could do their shopping and get their Covid jabs before or afterwards, but now we are sadly losing this facility.

Although demand for vaccination may be reducing, some vulnerable residents will be entitled to a third autumn booster jab shortly.

Being offered various local clinics, some pharmacies and local mobile units is not the same as having the centre in Churchill Square, depending on where you live.

Having given 182,000 jabs this centre will be very greatly missed I suspect.

This closure decision is hardly encouraging people to get their jabs to protect themselves and others.

Covid may have gone out of the headlines but it has far from gone away. I would like to think the powers that be may like to reconsider their very hasty, in my view, decision before the centre is finally no more and gone for ever.
