A DRIVER threw a load of rubbish out of a car window on a busy road in full view of other motorists – not once but TWICE.

The incident happened on the A2011 approaching Hazelwick roundabout, in Crawley, shortly after 9am on Thursday and was caught on camera.

The driver of a blue Ford Ka can be seen throwing a load of litter out of his car window before pausing … and doing it again.

The man who filmed the incident, and who asked not to be named, said he was “astonished” at the attitude of the driver..

He added: “I was really tempted to get out [of the car] but I thought that wouldn’t go too well.

“I was on my way to my grandaughter’s sports day and didn’t want to miss that.

“I just really hate people like that. It’s disgusting, so anti-social, and you just know there will be some poor bloke in an orange hi-vis jacket who’ll have to go down there and put his life on the line to pick it up.”

The video has been passed to Sussex police and West Sussex County Council.
