A PAIR of 17-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with a violent robbery.

Armed police responded to the incident close to Durrington railway station, near Worthing, at 7.30pm on Sunday, July 3.

Police said two 17-year-old boys had personal items including mobile phones stolen.

Both also sustained facial injuries.

“Following a search of the area, assisted by the National Police Air Service helicopter, police located and arrested two people in the vicinity of Rowlands Road, Worthing,” a police spokesman said.

Two 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of robbery. Both remain in police custody at this stage.

Police enquiries are ongoing.
