EMERGENCY services are attending an incident outside a flat this morning.
The incident is believed to have happened around 7am this morning outside a flat in Russell Square, Brighton.
Three police cars and an ambulance are in attendance and the road is closed off.
One tradesman said they saw “blood on the pavement” – while ambulance crews appeared to be taking pictures of a second-storey window.
The tradesman said: "There's lots of blood on the pavement. We’re doing a job in the area.
"We can get over there, but just waiting at the moment."
Sussex Police have confirmed a man has suffered "life-threatening injuries".
South East Coast Ambulance has also been approached for comment.
