We wholeheartedly would like to show our gratitude to the Brighton residents that have cheered on and supported our events over the years. As well as The Argus itself for the coverage. The article was so positive .

BNBR collective would like to thank the people of Brighton and Hove for donating to our street collection on Sunday the 12th of June as well as express our gratitude for the warm welcome and cheering as the ride went along the streets of our city on a gloriously sunny mid June afternoon.

The amount collected in Brighton on June the 12th was £ 241.61

The community group , which is run entirely by committed volunteers, wishes to thank all those who supported the ride with their donations as well as those who gave their time and energy and helped with the collection. We would like to say a massive thank you to the Sussex Police for their support on the day and smoothly controlling the traffic ahead of the ride as well as Brighton buses and their drivers for their understanding and patience.

The funds raised on the day of the ride are vital for covering the costs of organising this year's event and the surplus will allow us to invest in the infrastructure and equipment needed for the future events. After many years of use our enclosure structure is in need of an upgrade and maintenance .

The BNBR events apart from bringing the smile and joy to the participants as well as the onlookers, deliver very important messages about climate change, vulnerability of non motorised road users , body positivity and sustainability. The participants join the Brighton ride from all over the UK and even from abroad, folks from all different walks of life that share our ethos come down to Brighton and fall in love with the city. They truly are in awe of the vibrant atmosphere of the city and the welcome they receive.

Our Collective helped put on the first ever Eastbourne & Cuckoo Trail WNBR last weekend which was a massive success as well and it was great to see the important messages of sustainability resonating so deeply with the Eastbourne and Hailsham residents that witnessed the event.

Brighton WNBR is planning an Equinox Flash Mob event later in September.
