A ROAD is partly blocked after a car crashed into a telegraph pole this morning.

The incident happened around 8.20am this morning eastbound on Rattle Road in Westham, near Eastbourne.

The Vauxhall appeared to smash into a wall and telegraph pole, causing the pole to snap while the car was left in the road.

Police are at the scene currently.

The driver's injuries are minor and no arrests were made.

Traffic is coping well in the area.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "At 8.20am on Saturday, July 9, police responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision between a car and telegraph pole in Rattle Road, Westham.

"The road was blocked for a short time. No arrests and minor injuries."
