DANIEL Green’s article ‘Council redraws terms on i360 £43m loan’ (5.7.22) is just more eyewash from the council and i360, seeming to conspire to prevent the proper evaluation of the potential uses for the 162m tower that we taxpayers collectively paid for in 2014.

My website shows that it could be marketed as the biggest sundial in the world, but neither the council nor the company have considered it, or published their conclusions.

The i360 is 85 per cent a public asset, so the council should step in and give it to the Brighton West Pier Trust, or the Royal Pavilion and Museums Trust, to run on behalf of the whole community.
