A BRAND new restaurant is opening its doors today in Brighton.

The Ivy Asia’s first Asian-inspired concept in Sussex is opening today, Tuesday, July 12.

The restaurant is located in Ship Street and is set over two floors. It is open seven days a week, offering lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and weekend brunch.

On Thursday last week, an array of guests gathered together to celebrate the launch of the restaurant.

Attendees enjoyed an array of canapés, from Lobster Wonton with black truffle and yuzo kosho, to Seared Wagyu Beef with a barbecue glaze, whilst those with a sweet tooth enjoyed coconut mochi ice creams and passion fruit and coconut doughnuts.

Drinks included exclusive cocktails, Champagne, wines, and beers as well as entertainment of Taiko drummers and a live DJ who helped set the soundtrack to the evening.

Diners were met by the luminous green onyx flooring, as well as a 19th century glass domed skylight situated above the cocktail bar.

Fitted with colourful artwork, Asian fabrics, wallpapers, and antiques, the restaurant is designed to be an “elegant yet vibrant space”.

Celebrity attendees included: Anna Maynard, Daniel Webb, Chloe Goodman, Tyler West, Will Thomson and Dakota Blue Richards
