A RAIL operator has warned of “busier than usual” services due to a Women’s Euros football match.

The Amex stadium is hosting its second Women’s Euros match on Friday, July 15, and train services are expected to be busy as fans make their way to Falmer.

The Austria vs Norway game is taking place at 8pm.

A spokesman for Southern said: “Services from Brighton/Lewes through Falmer will be busier than usual, with queuing systems in place.

“We'll be running shuttle trains between Brighton and Lewes stopping at Falmer only from 18.00 until the end of service.

“There will also be additional carriages on our Brighton to Seaford trains.”

The rail operator is urging people to plan ahead for their journeys and book tickets through the website.
