A HOME staging consultant is celebrating after winning two categories in a national awards competition.

Jane Lee, from Henfield, was shortlisted for two of the House Wow Property Services Awards before they were put to public vote.

She was thrilled to win both the Rising Star Home Stager Of The Year, Occupied Staging; and Best Staging and Photography Team Of The Year, with Elissa Jane Diver Interiors Photography.

Jane, 55, said: “To win both categories I entered is amazing.

“I was delighted to get shortlisted, to have received public backing too is a great feeling.”

The project that clinched victory in both categories is one of her favourite transformations to date.

Jane added: “The owners were keen to maximise the wow factor before their property went on the market and booked my gold package, which includes a professional photoshoot.

“I decluttered and rearranged what they already had and styled with flowers and a few new plants and accessories - it always makes a huge difference.

“They were rewarded with immediate viewings, having invested just 0.1 per cent of their asking price."

Home staging aims to boost viewings and offers by creating a look that will appeal to a wide range of prospective buyers.

Jane said: “The way I work is cost-effective and planet-friendly.

“While it's gaining popularity in the UK most sellers still don't stage, which gives those who do a big advantage.

"The photographer I work with, Elissa Jane Diver, says I make her job a breeze, while her stunning images lift my staging and styling to another level. We make a great team.”

Jane offers consultations, hands-on staging and professionally styled photoshoots.

Advice is given on things like décor, room layout and function, decluttering, depersonalising and interior styling.

She launched her business in 2019, after studying interior design at City College in Brighton, which is now the Greater Brighton Metropolitan College, and the CHSSP professional home staging and interior styling course.

Previously a journalist, she worked as a news reporter at The Argus before moving on to national lifestyle, interiors and property magazines.

The House Wow Property Services Awards 2022 celebrated the best of residential property services in the UK, including home staging, interior design and property photography.
