A GOGGLEBOX star has apologised for pulling a woman into a swimming pool at an exclusive club after he was pushed in himself.

Stephen Webb was pushed by a friend into the pool fully clothed at Brighton Beach House, The Sun reported.

The 50-year-old then grabbed a woman sitting nearby and pulled her in too, as she floundered in the water gasping for air.

Following the incident at the members-only club - the first Soho House to open in Sussex - Stephen told The Sun he was “very sorry if she felt upset or hurt by my actions”.

“That was never my intention,” he said.

“I’d been swimming and having dried and got fully dressed, a friend pushed me back into the pool.

“I took it in very good spirits, and everyone was laughing and joking so seeing his friend sat on the edge of the pool, pulled her round her waist into the water with me.

“We’d enjoyed a really good time together and I felt it was all part of the fun.”

The woman was said to have been sitting with Stephen’s husband Daniel Lustig, 47, next to the banana-shaped pool.
