COMMUTERS have been warned of cancellations and service alterations to train services due to crew unavailability.

Southern services along the East and West Coastway routes are facing disruption today, affecting routes from Brighton and Haywards Heath to Lewes, Eastbourne and Hastings, as well as trains from Brighton and Haywards Heath to Hove, Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor.

Additional stops will be made on services where possible, with Southern warning of train times being different to normal.

The train operator has urged passengers to check their journey before travel and said commuters may need to take an earlier or later train, or change to a different train en route.

Tickets are being accepted at no extra cost on Brighton and Hove Buses on routes from Brighton to Eastbourne, Brighton to Lewes, and Brighton to Shoreham.
