POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an “unprovoked” attack where a man was knocked unconscious outside a pub.
The attack happened outside Yates pub in Robertson Street, Hastings towards midnight on Friday July 8, into the early hours of Saturday, July 9.
Sussex Police were made aware last Thursday that a man had been treated in hospital after suffering “serious facial injuries”.
The force are keen to speak with a man, possibly a member of security staff, who helped the man after the attack.
Officers also wish to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the attack.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1021 of 19/07. Alternatively, information can be passed to police anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
