THREE road closures across the A27 are set to cause delays for motorists over the next week.

Roadworks along the road in Brighton and Hove is expected to cause disruption to journeys for commuters throughout the week.

The first closure started last night on the A27 eastbound and westbound between Holmbush and Hangleton and is expected to last until tomorrow at 6am. A diversion is in place while a tunnel is closed for maintenance.

Later this week, the A27 eastbound between Coldean and Falmer will be closed for surface works. A diversion will be set up while the roadworks take place from 8pm on Thursday, July 28 to 6am on Friday, July 29.

Motorists face delays at the start of next week on the A27 eastbound and westbound between Devils Dyke and Hollingbury due to a lane closure for barrier repair. Delays are expected from 8pm on August 2 to 5am on August 3.

In some good news for motorists, all three road closures are expected to cause only slight delays of under ten minutes.
