A MAN has been ordered to pay nearly £2,000 after being found guilty of handling a stolen iMac.

Phillip James Baynes, of Davigdor Road in Hove, dishonestly undertook or assisted in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of the iMac and keyboard between September 15 and September 19, 2020.

The 51-year-old pleaded not guilty on June 9 last year but was found guilty at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on January 26 this year.

Baynes appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ on Thursday last week, July 21.

He was fined £1,200 and must pay costs of £740, a total of £1,940.

Baynes must pay £100 per week starting from today, July 28.
