An unsigned rock band will share the stage with Aerosmith, Foo Fighters and Bruce Springsteen to perform in front of 250,000 bikers.

The Crave will follow in the footsteps of Elton John and Metallica at the Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary gig.

The foursome have picked up an army of fans, including chart-toppers The Killers, after headlining BBC America's Brit Bus Tour.

They proved a hit on the talent showcase tour and now they are heading back across the pond for a five-month tour.

Singer Ryan Burnett spoke to The Argus from the studio where he is putting the finishing touches to the band's debut album, due out in May.

The band are thrilled to be on the bill for the Harley Davidson gig.

He said: "I'm really looking forward to it. It will be amazing to play on a bill with so many massive bands.

"When we did our two-month tour of the States last year, we played a gig in Chicago where we met a Harley Davidson rep.

"We've got a song called Bring It On which he really liked and the company wanted to use it.

"We went out to Milwaukee and recorded a video for it, which was great.

"Now we will be the only unsigned act on the bill at the anniversary gig.

"We have got quite a bit of label interest in the States, which is good. There seems to be quite a few people out there really into our band."

Prior to their appearance at the festival, The Crave, whose members met at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music in Rock Place in 2003, will visit New York and Las Vegas.

The band have picked up rave reviews for their rock sound, which is influenced by Green Day and U2.

The Crave are formed of singer and guitarist Ryan Burnett, lead guitarist Carlos Garcia, Tom Swann on bass and drummer Dave Keeler. The band's EP, Bring It On, is available online from iTunes and Napster.
