ALBION fans had plenty to celebrate as their side walked away winners against Spanish side Espanyol in pre-season.
A Leandro Trossard hat-trick helped Brighton and Hove Albion to a 5-1 victory at the Amex on Saturday afternoon.
Marc Cucurella, who reportedly handed in a transfer request on Friday amid interest from Manchester City, was a notable absentee from the matchday squad.
However, fellow defender Adam Webster gave the hosts a half-time lead with a glancing header.
His centre-back partner Lewis Dunk doubled Albion’s advantage early in the second half with a header of his own, before Trossard took over the goal scoring duties with a 15-minute hat-trick.
His first came from a volley, while the other two were sweeping team moves.
Joselu pulled one back for the La Liga side, but it the Seagulls were comfortable winners ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
