READING Phelim MacCafferty's Friday column I was amazed at his completely delusional statement that Preston Park is one of the "country's best parks".
I had to view a project in Preston Park Avenue recently and parked accordingly.
The area around the park was a disgrace. Litter everywhere, gutters not swept, weeds growing everywhere, grass not cut professionally and areas around "obstructions" simply left to grow out of control.
Furthermore it appeared that a campsite had been set up around the perimeter by a group of visitors. Does MacCafferty and his other eco-warriors actually get out of Hove Town Hall to look around the city and see the mess they have created?
I really am fed up with the nonsense this man spouts in his world of virtue signalling without actual action by the so-called "Green" council.
The only thing that is green about this council is that they are green by definition, ie they have very little experience of life or a particular job.
This council is a disgrace, like our city. Please get rid of them at the next election.
