POLICE have warned of an increased presence today as they continue to search for a missing man.
There will be more officers in the Elmer area of Bognor today, Tuesday, August 2 as they attempt to locate David Stokes.
David was last seen at his home address in the village on Saturday, July 16, at around 10.30am.
He is 5ft 10in, medium build with grey hair. It is not known what clothing he may currently be wearing.
David has links to Dorset, particularly the areas of Poole and Lyme Regis.
Detective Sergeant Alan Fenn, from the West Sussex Missing Persons Team, said: “David has been missing for a considerable amount of time now and we are growing more and more concerned for his welfare, as are his family and friends.
“Enquiries are continuing all the time and we hope that a day of action in his local area will shed some new light on his whereabouts, leading to him being found safe.
“We would ask residents to check any sheds, outbuildings and garages for David, and to report anything suspicious immediately. Officers will also be conducting house-to-house enquiries as we look to trace him.”
Anyone with information as to David’s whereabouts is asked to call 999 quoting serial 537 of 17/07.
