At last, Turin Brakes are rocking out! The former leaders of the Quiet Riot movement have finally thrown off their lo- shackles and are cranking it up big style.
Their debut LP, The Optimist, was a classic of the New Acoustic era and both follow-ups - Ether Song and Jack In The Box - captured moments of folk bliss, but an electric blast has been long overdue.
Gloriously heavy and weighted with some epic grooves, their fourth album Dark On Fire sees Olly, Gale and the boys puffing out their chests and releasing their inner rock gods.
So tonight there was thrashing and guitar duelling instead of their trademark strumming on stools - and it suited them.
While the delicacy of Underdog and Oblivion may have faded, the future is fired by the raw edginess and intense genius of new tracks such as Stalker and Ghosts.
