A FATHER reportedly killed during an altercation at a bar has been remembered as “one of a kind” by his daughter.

Michael McDonagh died at Parkdean Resorts holiday park in Camber Sands on Friday, August 5.

Emergency services were called to Lydd Road around 10.50pm following reports of an altercation involving a group of people.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, a 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of Saturday morning.

His next of kin have been informed.

Police have since arrested seven people on suspicion of murder. All remain in custody.

In a heartfelt tribute on social media, Michael’s daughter Erin said it “feels like a bad dream”.

“You broke so many hearts dad. You was the best father to us,” she said.

“You always petted mum. She’s lost without you dad.

“You always took care of her. Best husband to her. She loves you so much.

It is believed that Michael had got into an argument in The Showbar at Parkdean Resorts holiday park during the Crystal Palace and Arsenal match.

Celine Ward also paid tribute to her uncle, calling Michael a "legend".

"Oh god uncle Michael, I can’t believe it. You don’t deserve this.

"I really can’t believe you are gone. Watch over all your family.

"You are forever going to be missed. R.I.P popular Michael McDonagh. Our big Michael.

Detective Superintendent Jon Hull said: “Our investigation is at a very early stage, but I would like to reassure the public that this appears to be an isolated incident with no wider risk of harm.

“Officers are now working to establish the full circumstances while the victim’s next of kin are supported by specialist officers.”
