A HELICOPTER crashed while attempting to land at Goodwood Aerodrome.
The Cabri G2 two-seat chopper crashed at the airfield near Chichester shortly before midday yesterday.
A spokeswoman for the aerodrome confirmed that the aircraft was involved in a "landing incident"
She said that the aerodrome's fire service dealt with the incident “swiftly” with a “well-rehearsed emergency plan”.
The helicopter had one occupant on board, who evacuated the aircraft without injury.
The incident comes just over a year after two men were killed after their aircraft crashed just north of the airfield.
