FOR months now, we have read in The Argus the failure of Brighton and Hove City Council to deliver.

The failure of proper clean toilets, the failure of cycle lanes, the failure of cutting down hedges, the failure of a dirty town, the failure of the i360, the failure to keep pavements clear of weeds etc etc. One could go on with a much longer list.

How Mac Cafferty and his crew honestly think Brighton can host the Eurovision Song Contest just shows they are on another planet.

By being on another planet, they do not take the thoughts, prayers, convictions or ideas from the local people, but bungle ahead with their haphazard ideas... at whose cost ?

It is about time the council faced the public head-on rather than playing politics.

I am conscious of the weed-stricken pavements. I was told that it costs the council less in claims than it does to have a weed programme in place.

Be careful council. All you need is a few people who have damaged themselves, broken bones etc to start claiming for damages and loss of pay because they are off work. Add to that the dog walkers who have had vast vet bills to pay.

Are you to be ready to receive health damage bills and large vet bills?

There seems no reason why these people cannot claim for damages because of your failure to adhere to your side of the contract. People come first, not politics.
