POLICE are searching for the son of a woman who died on a train.

Jacqueline Fleur Chandenier suffered a cardiac arrest while on a train at Gatwick Airport station on Monday, July 18.

Despite the efforts from paramedics, the 56-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at about 12pm.

“Her next of kin have been notified, however Jacqueline is also believed to have a son who she was no longer in contact with,” a police spokesman said.

“Despite extensive enquiries, officers have not been able to identify him to inform him of this sad news.

“Officers are appealing to the public for information to help identify the son.”

Four days later, a construction worker died while working at Gatwick Airport train station.

An investigation was launched after the 35-year-old man was pronounced dead on July 22.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The man had been working on the £150 million upgrade of the train station but died following “an incident on-site”, according to John Halsall, regional managing director for Network Rail’s southern region.
