THREE dogs were saved from a fire in a garden this morning.

The blaze started at around 11.45am in The Bricky, Peacehaven.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service rescued three dogs and cooled a gas cylinder.

The fence was wrecked by the flames and the house was charred on a side wall.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We were called at 11.46am to reports of a fire affecting the outside of a two-storey building.

“We used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one main jet.

“We rescued three dogs snd there were no reports of injuries."
