A FATHER who had just left for a family holiday watched on in horror as his doorbell camera captured a man appearing to urinate on his home.

Steve Thorley was on the train to Gatwick Airport when saw security footage on his phone showing a man in his porch.

The 58-year-old property developer was shocked as he watched the man walk to the bushes on his doorstep before covering the camera with his hand.

Steve believes the man took a pee in the porch of his home, in Denmark Villas, Hove.

“I was really angry,” said Steve.

“I shared the video via my Facebook and Instagram story and had a lot of responses – no one is happy about it.

“One person said that it must have been because I’m having building work done, but that’s not really the point.

"It’s still my front garden, my front porch."

Steve left home on Sunday afternoon to join his family who were already on holiday in Portugal.

But just an hour later, at around 5pm, he received a notification on his phone saying a man was outside his house.

Due to building work, Steve is temporarily living in the annex behind the property.

“I put the camera there when I started the project a couple of months ago, really just for security reasons.”

Steve made it to Portugal to meet his family, but said the incident soured what should have been a relaxing trip.

It comes as an elderly man in Brighton recently confronted a person who he said was urinating in the alleyway outside his home.

Hughie O’Neill, 72, of Pool Passage was attempting to disperse a group of people from the alleyway just after 8pm.

Footage appears to show Hughie confronting a man before being grabbed around the face and pushed against a wall.

His wife Christine can be seen watching in horror, the family's pet dog cradled in her arms.

“He told me he was going to beat the s*** out of me,"

Sussex police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
