A HOUSE was ravaged by a large fire that spread from a garage.

Eight fire engines attended the devastating blaze which destroyed the roof of the house and its garage.

Crews were at the scene by around 5.50pm yesterday in Lambourne Close, Furnace Green, near Crawley.

The incident was scaled back by 7.30pm.

The conservatory of the house was partially destroyed from the fire, while a neighbouring shed was also affected.

Crews attended from Crawley, Horsham, Henfield, East Grinstead, as well as Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.

It is not known if there were any injuries at the scene.

Sussex Police were in attendance and have been approached for comment.
