I'm no Lib Dem but once again Lewes MP Norman Baker hits the nail on the head in the debate on climate change with his remarks about the cost of public transport (The Argus, February 21).
Taking the car is so often more convenient than the bus or train.
And the price of a bus or train fare makes it a no-brainer if more than one person will be in the car.
The likes of bus boss Roger French do a great job, but he runs a company and the law expects it to make a profit. It's up to ministers to make and pay for public policy.
