I am a ten-year-old girl who has an inspiring story to tell. I was a premature baby, born three months early, and I weighed only 2lb. I was in and out of hospital many times during the first two years of my life. Most people did not think I would survive.
The nurses and staff were brilliant. I will always be grateful to them. I am also fortunate to not have any serious disabilities (except for asthma).
I now attend a brilliant Church of England school - St Mark's in Manor Road, Brighton. I am in Year 6 and I have been put forward for the scholarship for St Mary's Hall in Eastern Road, Brighton.
Luckily, I have been given the scholarship and I am very grateful.
Every day I thank God for the nurses, doctors and all the people who helped me along the way. I write this story to tell people who are in the same situation as I was, don't give up hope because there is a light at the end of tunnel.
